Sunflower proteins

Our range of proteins is expanding with the introduction of European-origin sunflower proteins, available both as concentrates and texturized forms. In a market increasingly oriented towards allergen-free, plant-based alternatives with a neutral taste, sunflower proteins prove to be the ideal solution to meet these demands.

Sunflower protein concentrates are derived from the milling of partially defatted sunflower seeds. They are ideal for boosting the protein content in baked goods, mixes, energy bars, snacks, and pasta. They help improve the texture and consistency of products like plant-based beverages and spreads without altering their flavor.

Granular texturized sunflower proteins are obtained through the extrusion of sunflower protein concentrates. They are an ideal solution for meat-based products or meat analogues, as they replicate the texture of animal muscle. Thanks to their ability to absorb the natural juices released during cooking, they keep the product’s structure soft and juicy.

With a neutral and pleasant taste, texturized sunflower proteins are an interesting alternative to other vegetable proteins which have a pronounced off-taste. They can also be used in combination with other texturized proteins.
